Guest guest
Hi Superdoc: Just in case you don't get any specific responses, on page 224-225 of " Beyond " Walford discusses how to find a physician. Hopefully you have the book. If not, let me know and I'll summarize the procedure for you. on 10/13/2002 8:36 AM, thesuperdoc1000 at TheSuperDoc@... wrote: > I am looking for a physician in the NYC/Long Island area to monitor > my CRON program. I have read the book however, I've never found the county medical societies very helpful as they usually give you a list of physicians based on specialty and zip code (something I could do myself in the yellow pages). When choosing a doctor, I prefer to go by the personal reference of someone who has already had a positive experience. I'm hoping a few of the 500 some-odd members can help me out. Guest guest
SuperDoc, I would have replied earlier but have been out of town a few days. Actually was away for the weekend with the wife and no kids. I can certainly say there is no labido problem here for someone on the CRON diet for the past 18 monthes. OK the real reason for my post. I too live in long island and I have had a very difficult time finding a doctor that is open minded to the CRON lifestyle. MY GP (who I use because I had a bout of pericarditis 2 years ago) just gets glassy eyed when I start to discuss it,, says it's great I have lost 50 lbs and my BP is 110/75 but that is as far as it goes. Not particularly impressed. My wife is a physician assistant, so she helps monitor the necessary things (BP, ordering blood tests ect..) so I can say I have not missed seeing a doctor (haven't seen the GP in a year now. If you do come up with a doctor that is receptible to the CRON lifestyle please let me know.
