Guest guest
My name is Jef Braekmans, 38 years old. I live in Lier (city 10 kilometres from Antwerp) Belgium. I'm working as a customs officer in Antwerp. A few years ago the website of the transhumanist foundation caught my eye. Since then I became interested in topics like nanotechnology, artficial intelligence, biotechnology and quantum computing. I read that nanomedicine can reverse the aging process and according to prominents in the field like Freitas and Drexler we may expect it around 2030-2040. So we have to hang on until we get there. I know that many scientists don't believe that nanorobots will be feasible for the next 100 years, but I'm a die-hard believer. Technology evolves exponentially so we shall witness 140 years of progress at the rate of the year 2000 in the first three decades of the 21st century. Old age is an outrage. It is the prime killer throughout human history and the most important cause of human suffering. This has to stop. Governments all over the world should put their money into anti-aging research instead into defense. I want to practice CR because all these technological wonders might be further off than expected and also because the diet considerably reduces your risk of an early death from heart disease or cancer.
