Guest guest
The medication of choice of most modern doctors is Senokot (available over the counter) which is a natural vegetable laxative and stool softener. It's very gentle to the system. However as previously mentioned, prunes or prune juice is just as good, and you also get lots of antioxidants with your fiber. Prunes are loaded with good stuff. on 1/3/2003 9:18 PM, oc9 <ibap@...> at ibap@... wrote: > The real answer is more INSOLUBLE fiber, and yes, more water. > Soluble fiber (such as oat bran and pectins) lowers cholesterol by > binding to it and helping it leave the body. Guest guest
Hi. I developed this irregularity and discomfort problem as I tried to add animal protein and some recreational white flour to my diet and some oils. I cured it by going back to lots of legumes, oat cereal almost daily, low fat heavily slanted to Omega 3. Also, 8 to 10 veggies daily, and 3 to 5 fruits. As mentioned in last post, I also use eggbeaters and yogurt in controlled amounts, as well as fish once a week or less. I'm feelin' pretty good these days.
