I have also noticed that my neck has become so stiff and also my wrists ..Cramps in my Calves muscles and at night or when not moving I get pins and needles in my arms legs. are these all signs of Hypo?? Yes.. thats me alright, I have an appointment to get re-evaluated.. Its been about 15 years since I've seen an endo, basic health doesn't seem to think I need one, well now that I'm paying for it out of pocket I am going. Guest guest
Hi , here's an interesting link about switching to Armour. http://www.drumlib.com/dp/000016.htm I also have pins and needles and leg twitches from time to time. I assume that it's symptomatic of hypo., but I'm not completely sure. If you are still gaining weight despite levels being normal, have your adrenals and androgens checked as well - it's never a bad thing to rule out. _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com

Guest guest
Ok Sally I am still learning on this. I had a good talk with my wife and I am going to call my Endo at my heart hospital tomorrow and make an appointment I am also going to see my GP ASAP and asked him if I can try this mixture of meds. A few years ago my Cardiologist put me on Pure t3 I think its comes in 25mcr and I broke out in a rash so I may be clutching at straws but its worth anything to get my life back. Good luck for Friday and I am counting on you. C Re: A few questions please The intolerance group is at thyroid_hormon_intolerance/. <thyroid_hormon_intolerance/.> It's only got 9 members, but I guess it's got to start somewhere! Why would you want to see Dr Toft? He may have made a u-turn on the question of T3, but he was responsible for the introduction of, and strict adherance to, the TSH test in the first place! The guy has a lot to answer for! Guest guest
Hi 25mcg T3 is quite a lot to take all at once. I think Cytomel (in the US) comes in 5mcg tablets, allowing the patient to take smaller amounts at intervals. You can get UK prescriptions filled at Women's International Pharmacy (I'm sure they won't discriminate against you because you are a man ;o) www.womensinternational.com I emailed them a couple of weeks ago about types of T3 and this was their reply: << Thank you for your email. We are able to compound T3 separately or combined with T4 (Armour has T3 and T4). Because we compound, we are able to do any reasonable strength. We would suspend T3 and/or T4 in olive oil and place in a gelatin capsule. >> If you want to try T3, this may be worth a try. It is also possible to use time-released T3 (as in 's Syndrome - http://www.wilsonssyndrome.com). Women's International may be able to make you a time-release T3. I have just received various emails from my current doc <stands back in amazement> She has sent me various documents I can send on to you if you like. Not sure how helpful they are apart from one from Dr Durrant-Peatfield. She has given me various suggestions for supplements to take. She has also sent me yet another document on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy which does not impress me one bit! My mental problems are due to the fact that I am ill and cannot get better - it's quite simple really. Can't understand why she hasn't grasped it! Roll on Friday!
