Guest guest
YEWOUCH!! Don't think of myself in those terms here (or most cronies for that matter). Everyone has a different level obsessive extremes to which they practice CRON with some not being obsessive at all. Which always brings us to the ultimate question....what is normal? What is normal? Well I think it's abnormal myself to have my diet occupy my thought procesess for hours every single day, be so preoccupied with CRON that I have little time for other interests, feel guilt/shame if I occasionally overeat or simply allow myself to have some sort of self-imposed forbidden food, practice behaviors and rituals around food that bulemics and anorexics frequently resort to, and employ defense mechanisms such as denial and rationalization when confronted by friends and love ones regarding my eating habits. I'm not implying all, or even the majority of CRonies fit this description, but after a couple of years being exposed to this and the other message board I'm convinced that there are many individuals " out of balance " when it comes to combining CRon and the rest of their lives. Therefore, when I read about someone who has made remarkable improvemnets incorporating CRon principles in their health without going off the deep end, it makes me realize that this stuff is not realy rocket science at all and does not have to be practiced in a manner that reeks of deprivation. Guest guest
Amen to that. However - the vast majority of the population thinks 'normal' is a BMI up in the range of 28. A little more educated preoccupation with their diet would be a major positive. Our current fast-food culture, and the advertising level for snack foods and so forth demonstrates the power of marketing. There's more to diet than that. I know that after practicing CRON for a half year, I feel better and get around easier and as long as I feel like a kid again, I readjust my thinking and planning to take in a bigger horizon of life. What was normal becomes, well, not the way I might do things in the future. In a way, by being young again, we're all becoming wise.
