Don't you just love marketers descriptions? air FRESHENER. It doesn't freshen air. Fresh air comes from outside I think. I don't think it even removes bad smells. Now an electric heater with a fan does burn smells in the right locations. It doesn't "freshen" the air either. We threw out all the plugins - I couldn't stand the stuff coming out.

Regards.

something else to worry about:Under controlled conditions, we had groups of laboratory mice breath thefumes released by several types of air fresheners. We found scientific datademonstrating irritation of the eyes, nose, throat, and sinuses; difficultybreathing; asthmatic reactions, and changes in nervous system function(lossof balance, tremors, and convulsions). Several of the mice died as a resultof breathing these chemicals. The data demonstrate that some air fresheners release toxic (poisonous)chemicals which can irritate the airway and cause serious malfunction of thenervous system.Source: Toxic effects of air freshener emissions. lind Ph.D.and Julius M.D.-Ph.D. Archives of Environmental Health(1997) 52:433-441. http://www.andersonlaboratories.com/

You're right. They just " mask " odors. A safe way to remove odors is to

light a match (or burn a plain candle for a couple of minutes). Also

cheaper.

This is a bit off-topic but nevertheless health related.
