Blood Glucose Testing for non diabetics

Just curious......has anyone in the group used one of these new

digital blood glucose meters to monitor their blood sugar. It seems

to me that the cost of one of these (less than $100) would pay for

itself the first time you did a fasting blood glucose test on

yourself. Also, you could theoretically do your own glucose

tolerance testing. Additionally, you could experiment with

individual foods from your own diet to see how they effect your

blood glucose levels.........Thoughts anyone???
