Guest guest
One thing i find for myself is not to buy things that are really snack-tasty. You don't have them around, you can't binge on them. If you have fruit around, like apples or (one of my faves) brocco-slaw, you can put away all you can hold, or stand, of eating like this and not bust your calorie count. I have given up protein supplements in the past because they just tasted too darn good, i would use up a large can in a couple days. What fun! I feel the same about some sprinkle-on spices and appetizers: why use something that encourages you to eat more? Now recently i have been relearning that nuts can be my downfall. In the words of Prevention's " Nutrition Advisor " book, for example, " Peanuts... are extremely high in weight-boosting calories....too high in fat and calories for regular snacking " . Okay, once this bag is gone, i just won't buy them again. For some reason tho, i can handle some varieties okay... i have no problem with keeping to the CR-approved regimen of 2 Brasil nuts a day...maybe it's just because i've never had these in the mental category of " snacking foods " . Everybody seems to have their own weakness, and their own best way to play the game. Hue
