Guest guest
Hi this is Philip the ex Physiotherapist from Belfast NIreland. I have a neuropsychiatric disorder depression anxiety and obssessive compulsive disorder which has strong links to anorexia, bulimia so i need to be careful My approach was to stop all self medication-alcohol and reduce all junk from my diet I try to eat 60-80g of protein each day and lots of green veggies and some fruit.I have also started supplementing with Udos Oil after meeting himself at a seminar in belfast I deliberately don't count calories as I don't want this incorporating itself into my illness! I have been going through a bad patch recently and havent responded to several queries people have made and i apologise for that. My approach exercise wise is to do as little as possible to get by partly due to the fact that ocd in spite of the heavy medication tends to be very tiring, and if I do manage to get spare energy for a lot of aerobic exercise I quickly become addicted and I find it difficult to stop! I did a course in efficient movement several years ago and use many of the techniques to improve my posture etc I have also modified some of these to suit myself.I do these movements when i feel up to it. I am also interested in the technique and feel it could add to my program , however thats not todays problem...... I used to work in sports injuries but stopped as people didn't seem to want to take the time to get well and properly rehabilitated.I didnt think patching people up short term was really the way to go. I have spent the past few years working in gerontology and am beginning to feel that sitting in chairs of whatever shape will seriously affect our mobility in later life. I tend to sit on the floor either on my bottom with my knees bent up or in the full squat position this i find comfy. This is a normal posture for many cultures and is something we in the west seem to have lost. I dont think it would go down very well in the med records office where I now work!!!!!!! enough of my inane ramblings will diatribe again soon Philip
