Guest guest
Pritikin - in his most recent exposition of the pritikin low-fat, high vegetable, moderately high (at least when I follow it, because 2 glasses of milk count up with all the veggie protein and the 3 or 4 ounces daily animal protein foods) protein, moderate fruit diet - discusses the satiety index and promotes it as a superior way of judging a food's value in a weight loww regimen. He also promotes a moderate amount of exercise as essential for the body to process carbohydrate properly, and thus reduce fat cravings. The name of the book is " The Pritikin Weight Loss Breakthrough. " I suppose what I'm doing is related to Pritikin's work. I started with " Live Longer Now " many years ago, but have wandered far. My return has been through some success with modified Ornish, which ends up to be a lot like Pritikin and Walford, because I work to minimise calories and use dwidp to ensure complete daily nutritional intake. I don't like books that have " Breakthrough...etc.. " in the title, but I guess he has to get some readers in order to communicate his message. I'd be interested in learning more than he includes in his book about the satiety index, also.
