Guest guest
Hi All, “No matter what happens, someone will find a way to take it too seriously.” Dave Barry I did it with My CR., low calorie diet. Bottom line: I was subject to extreme hypoglycemic shock – glucose level of 1.1. I was in as state of no response to stimulation and unconsciousness for 7 hours. I now stay in the hospital for at least two more days. Bad news: the CAT chest/abdominal scan today said I have an ascites, which is fluid leaching in between abdominal organs. My glucose continues out of normal control. I tire easily, which is maybe to be expected from pneumonia. I take it easy and when my eating was delayed 4 or so hours by the CAT scan requirement not to eat, I conserved energy by staying put and not expending unnecessary energy to lower glucose more. Still glucose level was low the next test, which was before eating following the initial apple and small amount of oatmeal. Good news: I feel much better regarding strength and pneumonia symptoms. It is a likely reason for the glucose going low. Tests were taken appropriately and I squeak a lot to get the oil to move investigations of my health. It does help. My weight seems about where it has been although I eat so much more, I have more nighttime bladder relief visits, my left leg is swollen and my abdomen seems swollen. This plus blood glucose and electrolytes, the latter of which has been great even after the 7 hours of darkness, are signs of I try to eat more fruits, vegetables, fats and protein also. My abdominal CAT scan confirmed ascites and the planned MRI in the next two days will hopefully diagnose the problem. Cheers, Al.
