Hi Everyone: I've been trying to keep up with this very busy,

productive board. I'm one year & 9 months post op revision surgery

(Dr. LaGrone, one day surgery/anterior/posterior--T-9 to sacrum),

and am feeling great.

I'm going to try to add my thoughts on some recent issues mentioned

on this site:

(PA), please hang in there. I know the days prior to surgery

can feel overwhelming. Try to think of positive things, including

visualizing yourself with a positive outcome.

Lorrie, Kam, Joyce, I've been thinking of you and sending you

healing thoughts. Lorrie, did you ever see Dr. Levein?

Eileen (garden girl), I agree with you on the great care I received

at BSA, and how totally pleased I am with Dr. LaGrone, Dr. Neilson,

etc. I have absolutely no regrets.

The central line was a non issue for me. It was put in during

surgery while I was out. It really never bothered me. It was

removed when I went to rehab floor at BSA...maybe a week post op.

I am still amazed that I can stand erect with my knees straight!

I've been hiking many times, and I can actually rest standing up

with my knees straight, which was unheard of prior to this surgery.

Someone asked about standing in lines..........same thing.....I can

comfortably stand there. No more bending forward, or having to hang

onto carts.

I think having a good relationship with my PCP has helped me, as he

was the one who prescribed meds, etc. after I came home from

surgery.

I try to keep up with the posts, but I'm sure I've missed some

issues, but if anyone needs to email me directly at

paulettep11@..., I'll be happy to answer any questions. Hang in

there, and my best wishes are with everyone for a happy, healthy

2006. ette
