Guest guest
Interesting that the topic of exercise has come up... Throughout my time following CRON, I have done very little exercise. I enjoy backpacking, snowboarding, mountain biking, etc., but I do those activites for fun and not on a regular basis. This year I want to change that and so I am starting off slowly with walking three to five times a week for an hour. I have also started taking a yoga class through a local community college. For more info on the yoga style, my teacher's website is at: http://www.thomasyoga.com/index.htm It is two days a week for 1 1/2 hours. The type of Yoga is Iyengar. This was my first week, so I have only had two lessons. I just turned 27 years old, and already I experience back pain, occasional tension headaches, and what I think may be early signs of carpal tunnel syndrome. I think it is because I have had a desk job for many years, and I am WAY too young to be having these problems. From just two yoga classes, I have already experienced positive results. Besides sore muscles, the pain in my back has decreased and I have not had a tension head ache in the past two days. It could just be a coincidence, however my guess is that yoga is helping me. I am so much more aware of my posture and my breathing. The class continues on for another 3 months, and at this point I would say that I plan on continuing my yoga practice for the rest of my life.... that's how much of a poaitive impact it has had on me physically so far. I'll let you guys know if I feel the same 3 months from now!

That immediately creates a very positive impression - to my eyes ;-)
Guest guest
Yeah, when I first saw the site I also thought to myself, this cannot be for real! This guy must be full of s & *%!? lol Believe it or not I almost did not go to the class based on the website. Luckily I looked past first impressions and took a chance and was happily suprised. Guess the saying is true, don't judge a book by it's cover. > > > For more info on the yoga style, my teacher's website is at: > > http://www.thomasyoga.com/index.htm > > Psychedelic - and several poses out of " Double Yoga " . > > That immediately creates a very positive impression - to my eyes ;-)

I *really* was given a very positive first impression by the combination of psychedelic images and Ganga White's poses ;-)
