Guest guest
Dear CR_SupportGroup ALL: I recently sent the following summary of CR Society news to my close family members and relatives. Will it help them? I don't know. But it is worth a try for those we love. I share it with you all, because it presents a vision of future possibilities and promises. Did I forget some important things? I know I did! But what I forgot, I simply don't remember. So could someone remind me? Thanks! -- Warren ======================================================== Dear Priscilla (my closest sister) and Family, .... (Personal family news discussion, which is omitted here) ... Here is a short rundown of current activities. Today I enjoy the companionship of a dear fraternity of associates and friends involved in energetic activities related to improving human health through the research science of applied Calorie Restriction. This science has an immensely powerful foundation, firmly based on hundreds of carefully controlled animal cohort statistical studies. The carefully designed studies are published in dozens of peer-reviewed literature journals. The bottom line is that for human beings, there may be an immense gain in human lifespan available by applying the scientific principles of " Calorie Restriction with Optimal Nutrition " . The proven lifespan gains are demonstrated to be phenomenal, and can exceed 60 percent and more. The charts are simply breath-taking to look at. In human terms, it may be quite possible to add another 50 years (or more) to our lifespan. And that increase in years would come with added vitality even into ripe old age (functionality preserved, aging postponed). Thus there would be a retardation of aging as we know it, to include the delay or even complete elimination of numerous common disease conditions associated with aging. That makes the message truly exciting. Recently, we established a non-profit corporation named The Calorie Restriction Society. We are involved in such activities as the following: -- Establishing The Calorie Restriction Society on a solid financial footing, making it eligible for receipt of tax-deductible member contributions, along with substantial donations from charitable foundations that make public grants. -- Producing a new television documentary on applied human Calorie Restriction for broadcast on CBS News, and on other numerous public media outlets. -- Hosting a special scientific conference that includes both theoretical and applied research discoveries (our second), scheduled for early June 2003 at the University of Wisconsin. -- Producing special tailor-made video productions featuring noteworthy individuals in our Society for general public Internet broadcast. -- Establishing the new non-profit corporation as a closely knit community joined together via Internet voice and Internet video (webcam) connections. -- Designing and implementing a significant public outreach program, with scientific and social advocacy objectives that include formation of a world-wide member assistance community, united and inspired to practice safe healthy human calorie restriction principles. These are very high goals, and noble purposes. Our group will succeed because we have the knowledge, the commitment, the teamwork, the leadership, the unity, and the compassion to succeed. Our Society is deeply committed to improving human health, delaying aging, and increasing human lifespan. These goals are accomplished using solid published scientific research that is proven tested in the laboratory with repeated trials to confirm its accuracy. Applied science of this power is able to create a social and scientific revolution that can transform society, and benefit every person alive -- including you dear reader -- who is willing to apply correct principles.
