We should recognize there is a diff in using "citrus" and eating an orange. Citric acid is put in lots of stuff - too much of it for me. I don't eat canned tomatoes either. Or jellies that have citric acid added.

Regards.

Subject: [ ] Citrus sensitivity (was Mouth sores)

During an elimination diet period, I found that a persistent pain in my hip went away. Eventually tracked this down to what I saw as normal citrus consumption, topped off by grapefruit seed concentrate -apparently just too much citrus. We also had a bizarre incident when my daughter was still in diapers. She had never had diaper rash until one weekend when we took off her diaper and found she was bright red (not a pimply rash, just red) just about everywhere under the diaper. Tracked this down to her having had pineapple and oranges at the baby sitter's during the week (sitter used to give us notes as to what she ate), followed by her introduction to grapefruit (which she loved) at home. Just too much acid for her little system at that time. Disappeared just as fast when we cut out the citrus.Iris
