Thank you all for your encouragement!

I've just spent an hour or so looking into albumin...

- Major component of blood plasma

- Prevents edema - swelling of tissues because it holds onto plasma

in the blood stream, not leaking out into injured tissues)

- Good sources = proteins.

Weight loss...

Believe it or not, I used to be a Weight Watchers group leader. I

faithfully followed the program 1978-1982 or so, losing and keeping

off 30 lbs (160 down to 130). 130 was a great weight for me, size 11-

12, 34C, etc.

After my first child, I had about the same weight problem, and I lost

it again by food combining - eating fruit by itself in the morning,

keeping carbs separate from proteins, but plenty of veggies with each.

I had terrific energy and looked terrific. In fact, pregnancy with

my second child 2 yrs later gave us another wonderful child, and

losing the baby weight was easy.

Where I put on weight, mostly, was from eating both kids' leftovers

starting about 16 yrs ago when I had 3 & 5 year olds... in fact, I

used to not order anything for myself when we ate out, because I knew

there would be plenty to eat after they finished. This gradually

transformed into me eating what I wanted for myself + eating kid

leftovers.

Over the years it turned into stress eating - my and hubby job

worries and kid stress.

Same thing now, only it's just my job worries and bigger problems

leading to more stress with bigger kids (19 & 21)

Just found out about a major stress dealing with my 21 yr old. He's

living with a girl who lives in her parent's basement... He just told

me that she's still in high school. What kind of parents...? I'm

hoping she's 18...

I'm in shock, frustrated, crying.

Wow, thanks for listening. Anyone know how this kind of stress

affects presurgery/surgery success?
