Guest guest
Someone mentioned picking and freezing blueberries. Even if you don't live where you can pick them, if you've got freezer space, buy them in their little baskets when you can, and stick the entire thing into a plastic bag and put it into the freezer. When you want to use them, dump the quantity you need into a strainer, and run cold water over them. Depending on what you're doing with them (I'm usually putting them over cereal) be aware that if you just leave them in the strainer they will freeze together into a big lump. Just run more cold water over them and shake to drain. This is why you don't really want to try washing them before you freeze them. If you do, they will freeze together, or you will have to take great pains that they're completely dry before you freeze them. Iris
