Guest guest
Hi All, I finally tabulated from the spreadsheet the lab test results provided thus far recently, which were also done for Dean. My comments are: 1. I lost a much greater % of my weight than Dean and a number of results are consistent with what I understand of CR. 2. The waist/hip ratio does not reflect the smaller % different in our % trunk fat. I have lost height and my abdomen is swollen. Dean has lower body fat than I do. Maybe this is due to my greater fatty fish intake. 3. I have no arm and leg fat data. Luigi is an experimenter at heart as is Dr. Holloszy who directs overall studies. Many tests were revised for the first time when I had them done, and Luigi continued this in this tradition with Dean, apparently. It looks to me as though Dean is top heavy in fat distribution. In jest and friend-to-friend, I do not speculate on his brain, though. 4. Dean has twice the increase above the recommended HDL level that I did. His other fats also are higher and our ratios are in my mind both good. Dean seems to have a more expensive health-conscious diet. His food is more optimized for nutrition, I think. My diet has a high % of total fat intake from the corn oil intrinsic to popcorn. The fish may counter-balance this. Overall for our lipids, although they are not as good as some have reported on our list, and I speculate from their test data and diets that the difference could be genetic. 5. The oral glucose tolerance tests have been discussed before. 6. The blood cell counts seem to be consistent with 1. above. The anemia may be consistent with this. 7. Dean has a high vitamin B12 level. I do not supplement it. 8. Other markers have been discussed previously. 9. Please offer all comments and recommendations of which you may think.
