I have pain in my left lumbar spine that settles in my butt and my thigh. I have been calling it sciatica but you got me thinking that I might have what you have. Guest guest Posted January 3, 2008 Report Share Posted January 3, 2008 My pain goes down just the very outside of my left thigh. No pain in the butt or any where else in the thigh. Just down the very outside portion of my leg. If I rub there the muscles are tender and have knots. I really need a good ole massage. The pain started after revision surgery. Most likely because of my new posture and gait.
