Guest guest
Vonnie, I am glad today went well for you.. it is kind of nice that you got a first hand preview of the facilities. I think I was told that all the beds got changed last year just before I came in so they are still fairly new. I was soooo " touched out " , for the lack of a better word, after laying in bed so many days...I didn't even like the feeling of the sheets against my skin...so I know that having a good mattress under you is not a bad thing! (As I am typing this now I am wondering if that was a reaction to the meds or just a by product of spending so much time in a bed?) And NEBH has just finished a major renovation..one floor was still in the works last winter...but I think everything is pretty new. My Mom had her hip done at MGH (and also was there after a stroke) and although they were very competent and nice....the place is like a small city itself...not very intimate or personal. And they have to feed a lot more people....it is an advantage NEBH is focusing on. I am glad to hear they made you feel comfortable for the procedure... the last thing you want is to feel tension when someone is sticking a needle in your back! Looking forward to hearing your results. Take Care, Cam
