Due to inherent defects in the bone. Also, I practice kendo, which while it is fairly safeas martial arts go, *does* involve a lot of abuse tothe feet and knees. It'd be a shame to have to giveit up. Quality of life matters too :)Based on what you wrote above, why do you want to start CR now? Considering, seriously, your questionable bone health "now", and, the fact, that your bone development continues till you are about 30 years old, shouldn't you focus on building as much bone structure as possible till you are about 30???I would suggest doing a CRON diet -without- the "CR" to maintain your set-point till your bones stop growing. Be certain your diet is optimized for maximum bone health, AND do weight bearing exercises. Hopefully weight lifting too.Once your bones have stopped your "youth development potential" it will be simple to transition to CR, since you will already know the diet, etc. Just turn "on" the CR part at about 30. If you have the insurance or cash you can always monitor your bone growth medically till it plateaus, then you would know for sure when to start CR. But it's somewhere between 30-33 years that your bones reach maximum potential. If I was in your shoes, I'm not, you can be certain NO WAY (in hell) would I start CR until my bones were finished growing!!!Take care, numi
