Guest guest
Isn't kefir buttermilk (yum).? Heloise had a recipe for making buttermilk in her column. I haven't had the nerve to try it and there's no " culture " involved. In fact it's awfully simple. Here it is: Add 1 TBS either lemon juice or vingar to a cup of whole milk. Mix well and let sit for 5 min. When it has thickened, you have buttermilk. If anyone tries this, please report back if it was any good. on 4/28/2003 8:39 PM, john roberts at johnhrob@... wrote: > While trying to help a friend buy a kefir floater he encountered problems > with the usual sources.
