Amy,

At first i thought this paian was actually a hernia. When i bent to tie shoes or whatever, it felt like something popped out, so i would stand and in a few moments the pain would subside. That had been going on for several months. Acouple of weeks ago, it became more consistent but still not real painful, just sore in the area. I went to the doc and he first asked me if i had thought about my liver. I am not the one with AIH, my son is, and believe it or not i have not even thought about the possiblity of it being my liver. Scared me to death. He did notice that my liver was swollen and ordered an ultrasound on my gallbladder and liver. I also had the same labs done and all of you do , the lft's. Labs came back fine but they definitelu saw lots of stones in my gallbladder. It needs to come out. Since that time i have been having alot of pain, especially in my back and upper abdomen. Seems that what is going!

on the that the stones are blocking the way for the bile to help in the digesive process and that is causing the pain. At least that is what i understand. I do know that 3 advil and a heating pad helps alot. Yes, Amy get it checked out and let us know.

Rosemary
