SODIUM in canned foods

Regading rinsing canned foods to reduce the sodium content: I would

be LESS concerned about reducing the sodium content than the LOSS of

nutrients when the contents are rinsed and drained. A great majority

of the nutrients are in the juice therefore washing it away defeats

the purpose of eating it in the first place. In most cases there is

enough potassium in the friut or vegetable to compensate for the

sodium. In other words, eat, drink, and be healthy!
