Guest guest
This is what I usually do. I " sample " a bit of forbidden foods so that I don't feel deprived. More often than not, I realize I'm not missing anything. I load up on the salads and veggies, and just taste the rest. on 12/28/2002 7:07 PM, Ron Corselli <rcors> at rcors wrote: > When I do have something I enjoy, I just eat half of what I would have > before and I accept being satisfied with that. Guest guest
I use something similar. Eat anything I want, but I've discovered the high fat foods are "greasy" and will make me nauseas. The high salt foods (which is anything with salt added at this point), I can't tolerate the taste at all. The sauces, I have never thot tasty, sexy or anything else. They are in a word mixed up crap. If I wanted a high fat sugar source, nothing can beat a Hershey's bar. It gets easier every year to avoid the pecan pie, banana cream, but not my wife's pound cake. Fortunately I'm regulated by her ability to produce such and my children and gchildren to share it. regards. ----- Original Message ----- From: Francesca Skelton Sent: Sunday, December 29, 2002 8:55 AM Subject: Re: [ ] Re: holiday eating This is what I usually do. Guest guest
If you feel guilty however, in tossing out good food, try freezing it. Then when guests drop in, defrost the leftover frozen " goodies " for them. Of course this only works if you have the willpower to leave the stuff in the freezer for others!! on 12/29/2002 1:59 PM, Leisa Hiatt at lhiatt3@... wrote: > My main secret............when the company leaves, (have one bite of the pie > if you need to), but throw junk in the trash----all of it!
