Guest guest
Hi Joan, Funny you should mention 'liver heat'. I never had the pain either, but I know exactly what you mean by the heat which generates from the liver (and other places), both before and since my transplant. Before I had any symptoms, I continually had a very, almost hot feeling emanating from the liver area. I can feel it best by placing my hand 4-6 inches above the area, rather than directly on my skin. I 'think' heat is generated whenever there's inflammation of any type. I use it as a barometer even today. If I 'don't feel quite right' for some reason, the first thing I do is test for heat in the liver area. As long as I don't feel any, I don't worry about it. Last summer I hit myself in the shin with a golf ball (don't ask), I could feel the heat through my jeans for days, until the 'booboo' got better. I don't have the pain you all talk about but I sure do have the heat. You can put your hand over my lever and it is really hot. I have no fever, nor am I hot any where else. I am asking the doctor when I go my next visit. Any one else have this..> __________________________________________________
