Hi Joan,

Funny you should mention 'liver heat'. I never had

the pain either, but I know exactly what you mean by

the heat which generates from the liver (and other

places), both before and since my transplant. Before

I had any symptoms, I continually had a very, almost

hot feeling emanating from the liver area. I can feel

it best by placing my hand 4-6 inches above the area,

rather than directly on my skin. I 'think' heat is

generated whenever there's inflammation of any type.

I use it as a barometer even today. If I 'don't feel

quite right' for some reason, the first thing I do is

test for heat in the liver area. As long as I don't

feel any, I don't worry about it.

Last summer I hit myself in the shin with a golf ball

(don't ask), I could feel the heat through my jeans

for days, until the 'booboo' got better.

It's like living in the 'twilight zone'

Take care and stay safe from that storm,

Barbara Ann

<I have a question for everyone. Does you liver ever

feel hot to you? I don't have the pain you all talk

about but I sure do have the heat. You can put your

hand over my lever and it is really hot. I have no

fever, nor am I hot any where else. I am asking the

doctor when I go my next visit. Any one else have

this..>
