Guest guest
Katy - congrats. I hope your daughter is really thrilled and prepared for parenthood. Jeanine - our prayers are with you and your family for 's quick recovery. I'm so excited about the gathering. This is my first! My husband has agreed to work my booth space at the Windmill. I'm wondering if anybody up near the Fairport area has room for possibly a ride? My truck won't start, and since my husband has to leave for the Windmill by 7am, I'm sort of stuck without a ride. I will have a pan of veggie lasanga, and a small bag, nothing else. I'll be more than happy to chip in for fuel!! Please let me know asap if you have room or inclination! I'm in Macedon, about 7 miles east of Fairport. He could drop me off somewhere (I see it starts at 10) and you could pick me up when convenient?? I'd really really appreciate it... Guest guest
Holy cow the gathering is this weekend? Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle! I thought I had another week.wow time flies when you're having fun. Boy, have I been having fun! I got a brand new car last week. OMG! I LOVE this car!! It's so awesome! Also, for those attending the gathering, if you wanted lye or anything from the webstore. You have to place your order by Wednesday. I have to go pick up a bunch of lye already. I'd rather make one trip if possible. I'm not a big fan of driving to Albany. LOL I get lost there REAL easy! ~Shyra A. Guest guest
Hi Katy, Soap looks OK. Glad you're going to be at the Gathering... Jeanine Jeanine's Hummingbird Soap Works _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Katy Sent: Saturday, April 22, 2006 9:08 AM Subject: Gathering Shaye - Count me in for the Gathering this year! Also, I'm just back from vacation and skimmed through the emails that I missed. Just wanted to add my 2 cents to those with computer problems. YES to Mozilla (Firefox)! I've been using it for years and love it. I also use Thunderbird email rather than Outlook Express. When you install Thunderbird, it will detect your settings in OE and transfer them. It will also transfer your mail folders. The nice part is that it has a junk mail filter that is so easy to use. You basically train Thunderbird to recognize what you think is junk mail. I still get some that come to my business address that I have to manually delete but it cut down on my spam cleanup greatly. I hate to put Spam filters on because they don't always work as intended. Jeanine - How did your RBO soap come out? I'm planning to make soap all day today if I can. My garden is calling my name but if it rains all day today I can get out there tomorrow and weed alot easier in the wet ground. Katy

Guest guest
I was just trying to see how far Delphi Falls is from Pgh (about 6.5 hours), when I saw the dates for the gathering. I will be in Texas for the Texas Soapmakers Convention. I will miss all of you, but hope to see you at the 2007 gathering. Deb

Guest guest
Bonnie, Thought I'd throw my 2cents in. I just got back from going to a VN reunion for my borther's unit. It was held at the Orleans. The rooms were $70, that is their normal rate. The rooms are large and beautiful and I loved the bed. Didn't use the pool, however, I did see the pool area, very, very nice. They have 3 or 4 places to eat in the hotel area. We had a great time. I won't be able to attend due to surgery, but will be thinking of all you. Next time. Take care, Terry
Guest guest
Bekka, if this raffle really happens, then Katy will be selling tickets. you pay her beforehand and she will give you your tickets at the gathering. Then when its time to draw the ticket, they will all have been put in a bowl and drawn by somebody. How much many tickets Katy gets will likely determine what kind of raffle prize will be gotten so thats why its better to get the money before hand. but the details of that will be comming later. There isnt really a " door " since everyone is everywhere initially but you will quickly learn who is who and who to talk to about what. On the Yankee swap, dont forget to make the outside of the box plain, No writing. If you use a priority box, turn it inside out so its plain on the outside. The goal is to not have any way of telling who's box is who's. Of course if yours is an odd size you will know your own but they all should look the same. The directions and update are tentative as of yet so more updates will be comming. And If I dint get the directions right, they will of course change. Just so you know. You got the product swap right. Yes. Since Colleen cant come, she might ask someone to be her proxy (if you will) at the gatherign to get the products " swapped " . At least thats how she did it last year and that worked out pretty good. LMK if you have any more questions Thanks! Shaye Gathering Just copied out the directions etc. Shaye, I'll send a check to you Thursday for the gathering. Now let me see if I get this right. I'm in a swap hosted by Colleen and she will let me know when and how many have to be made, correct. And I'm in a thing a ma jig game that I pack up in a brown box $10 worth of supplies, right??? And there is a raffle. Do we participate in the raffle at the door???? Huggs, Bekka
