Guest guest
Be careful when going out after sunset if you're in one of the places (such as the entire U.S. east coast) which has had and is still having record rainfalls. The mosquito population is WAY up and with it the diseases they carry. West Nile Virus is having an impact this year whereas last year it was hardly an event. I use DEET spray now if I'm going to be hanging out outdoors after dark, even though I'm not too thrilled spraying myself with a pesticide; but IMHO it's the lesser of two evils and better than: Malaria, West Nile, encephalitis, etc. An excerpt from a front page article in today's Washington Post: " On a recent muggy night near the town of Church Creek, on land's Eastern Shore, a mosquito monitoring station netted 26,000 of the bloodsuckers between sunset and sunrise. The same trap's total last year around this time: about 100.
