Guest guest
Welcome Home !!! You sound like you have had one Very Happy, busy trip !!! How did the Dr's appt. go ??? Yes, Thank God your Son is alright. We have a lot of deer around here also. Sorry about the van ( Yes, Chicago is Very cold and a Lot of snow!!! I think one of us on here is from Chicago!!! I live six hours straight east of there. Didn't know there was a Navy base there! The girls father came to get the girls for a sleep over, then called me around 8 that night screaming at me that I would Never see or hear from the girls again, as he wants a family now, with his 3 month girlfriend...That was three weeks ago this Fri ( Now we are fighting this in court for full custody of the girls. We have raised them for six years, with him coming and going as he pleased. We got an emergency court order allowing us to see them every other weekend until this is cleared up. All they kept doing was begging to stay here. They want Mama and Papa to fix it... {{{ Resting Hugs }}} Helen Hi everyone! I have been trying to catch up- probablywont happen tho! Please fill me in on how you are alldoing.Helen, my heart goes out to you! I havent gotten backfar enough to figure out how this happened. Hope youget your girls back ASAP!Jessie, I love to read your posts, so happy for you!Now you take it real easy while you adjust to your newsurroundings. It may take a little while. Dont takeany chances right now. (Sorry, been a nurse & mothertoo long.)I was gone for 10 days, picked my daughter up fromhorse camp, went to granddaughters birthday(3rd),visited my family, school shopping (ugh! Just drivingin Santa Fe is a nightmare!), saw the dr, then broughtmy granddaughter home with me for a week.(been toobusy, or tired to get on) And just got my last 2 backto school. Whew! You can just imagine what this placelooks like. Came home to an almost dead yard, but itrained some. At least they took care of all thecritters. The new kitties came out from under the deck justbefore we got home, so they have been a lot of helpentertaining. I took her out to a friends farm/ranch & we got to see & pet all kinds of furry things. It surewas fun, but I am exhausted. Never got over the drivehome. The ride down was nice, we spent the night in PagosaSprings, at the hot springs, then I drove the rest bymyself, just a few hours, and I felt better for a fewdays than I have in years! I swear it could fix me.I'm stranded now, but dont really care. My son hit adeer in my van. He is alright, thank you God. He waswearing a seatbelt & did everything right that hecould, stayed on the road. I told him that anyone thatlives here long enough will hit one sooner or later & maybe it was good experience. Thankfully he wasnt inthe Geo(dh's little tiny car)- it would have come thruthe windshield. I only had liability ins, trying tosave $ anywhere I could, so doubt that we can fix it,but like I said, I dont really care. This was the dayafter Richs 19th birthday, so he is not insuredanymore. (medical) It is going to be a long wait tillNov when he goes to the Navy- then to Chicago for thewinter. Guess he'll find out what cold really is!I would like to just go to bed for a couple of days, but need to do something around here, like majormucking! Oh the drudgery! You all hang in there! Will try to get back on later.Love, Please Remember my Girls in Your Prayers !!! When you are your weakest, remember, God is always strong. No burden is too great, when you rely on Him. I get real tough when I'm mad, (and its better than crying) so I went out & started hacking the hedge down. The one the next door neighbor from hell complained about. I was to have a hearing, to get permission to have it, but found out today it would cost $50. I couldnt finish all of it, but I got all the meanness out of me. (And now I can spit on all his RV's if it comes back) I'm gonna pay for this big time, can barely type.I havent heard from my lawyer, guess I'll have to call again. Ugh! I dread talking to her- should have done it when I was mad. She didnt want to file this appeal, said my chances were slim to none without a "firm diagnosis", then I showed her where to find undifferentiated connective tissue disorder in the SS Blue book, it even has a #! Well I finally got the diagnosis, even if its wrong- Her latest guess is discoid lupus, but I dont have discoid lesions. The nurse said all the other symptoms were from Fibromyalgia or stress. Yes, stress makes your hair fall out, gives you shingles & fevers & infections & blood in urine & pleurisy, edema, headaches, dizziness, mouth sores, ...etc.Did I get Raynauds & Sjogrens from it too? Bitch. Well, maybe I can call her now... I really wish I could go back to work, for all obvious reasons -and so I could refuse to pay social security!Everyone is getting home, so I'll have to go. Am going to have to do some serious explaining to dh when he sees the yard. Will write again in the morning. Thanks for caring! You take care of yourself! I so dislike nosey and complaining neighbors !!! Oh this one is something else! I think he poisoned my daughters kitties. He poisoned the hedge, spraying his rock yard. Killed all the berries along the fenceline except 1 blackberry. Cant eat anything there now anyway. He has a triple driveway, and a rock yard, and he pulled his huge travel trailer in back & put it outside my bedroom window- thats my view. I was trying to block the view of all his RV's & ugly rock yard ( & him!) with this hedge. Will take me awhile to catch up, just wanted to say hi, I havent disapeared, just been busy or sick, and had company. All the grandkids have been here, we've had birthday parties & graduation parties, and made lots of messes. (and some cookies) And the last working car broke down( and the dryer), so its been chaos as usual.I got a cortisone shot, hoping it would be a magic wand- well, it used to work- but I'm still waiting. And he started me on a calcium channel blocker, and I've had a headache since. Well, I had it before too, so I dont know. I'm supposed to be checking for low blood pressure, but I havent checked it once! Today I forgot to eat, there was no one here to feed! I just want a reprieve for the holidays, you know? I cant sit here very long, my back is in knots, so I'll keep this short and try to read a while & figure out whats going on with you all. Happy Birthday to everyone I've missed! You poor things, with birthdays in December. Hope you got to celebrate! Love,

Guest guest
, Thank you! So far wedding plans are minimal, since it is so far away. There are (of course) already problems brewing. My parents are fighting over who will get to walk me down the aisle. Is it wrong for a daughter to tell her parents to shut up or else? (slightly kidding) Your hubby spent the wedding night with his friends?!?!?!? He better have made it up to you! As far as jobs go, I just got a job (YAY) at a call center for doctors offices. It is sit-down work, and not NEARLY as stressful as telemarketing...I've done that before, and I'll never do it again! They called it " loan-generation " ...it was still telemarketing. Anyone who can do telemarketing and not go home a total wreck is awesome in my opinion. It was extremely competitive....granted I stayed in the top percentage the whole six months, but it was damn hard to do! Good luck .... Hugs, Hi from Hi everyone! Just catching up, has been way too long since I got to read email. Decided not to wait till I read everything, cause then something will happen, and I wont get to write........ So is getting married!!! Congrats! Hope it doesnt turn into a pain in the ass- thats why we went to Lake Tahoe. Still had 17 people in my motel room while I was trying to get dressed.............and dh spent our wedding night gambling with his brothers- well, he never gets to see THEM.......never mind.......good luck! CZ, good luck on your tests, try not to think about it, you're right, the anticipation is probably worse than the real thing. Better get it over with, so its not looming over you, and hope its all for nothing= normal results. Jessi, so sorry to hear about your uncle. My thoughts & prayers are with you. Go make him laugh- the best medicine. Maybe he got a wakeup call that will save him from " the big one " . He can learn a lot from you. Take care. Helen, how are you? Hope you're feeling better. I forgot to bathe in sunblock a couple days in a row, and now I look like I have leprosy- & please pass the wire brush. We're finally getting some rain, just a little here & there, and it has cooled off a lot- so I did too much outside of course. But .....real tomatos!!!! Almost worth it. Oh, and I finally figured out why the dog rolls in #*%@- it counteracts the skunk spray! He has been protecting us/the garden/compost bin. We got to keep Raquel for the night, alone, for the 1st time since April? Cant describe how good it was! Then got final draft for custody, will have to fight over it now, I wont sign it the way it is. We bought a new car, so I wont be stranded anymore, and was thinking I need to find some kind of work I could do, no respnsibility job? Then had a waitress nightmare, woke up cause my elbows hurt so bad from carrying trays, and hobbled to the bathroom thinking no one would tip me if I'm walking like this. Back to the drawing board.......what do I want to be, when I grow up????Social Security said I could just move to Co Springs & be a telemarketer, but since they passed the law against it here (PTL), I dont think that is an option anymore......any ideas? Hope you all can have a nice day! Love, ps- I think we have most all the fires out or under control! ---------------------------------

Guest guest
YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!! SUSAN, I AM SO GLAD THAT IT IS FINALLY OVER WITH FOR YOU and your family!!! NOW YOUR GRAND DAUGHTER WON'T HAVE TO BE SHUFFLED AROUND AND BE INSECURE ANYMORE... Sorry about the caps... Took you nine months... We are still in ours, we are in our 14th month ( I'm so sorry to hear about your Father ( It's so hard to watch them slowly waste away ( That is what Ross is doing with his parents also ( Is your Father able to get any county help??? Calling his local hospital will be able to give you some ideas as to who and what can help out, I would think... Make sure you get those SS papers filled out right away the best you can and get them in... Hopefully it will all go through this time... Who takes care of your household when you are at your Fathers??? Wish I was closer to help you out... You take care and be careful my friend... AGAIN, HURRAYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!! FOR YOUR GRANDCHILD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (((((((LOVE AND HAPPY HUGS ))))))) HELEN Hi everyone! Just a short note to tell you I'm alive. Been taking care of my dad in Santa Fe, he cant be left alone anymore. Trying to find someone to care for him while his wife works. Its been the pits. He had to have a transfusion last week, Hgb down to 7- then clotted off on dialysis and lost all that blood in the lines. Its so hard to see him so weak & miserable. And with the cold weather my wrists & ankles have been killing me, am so afraid I will not be able to hold him up one of these days when he gives out. I dont think he will do it for very long, the dialysis. Says this is no way to live. Have some good news- 2nd dtr got permanent custody of my granddaughter. It's finally over. Such a relief, no more living in constant fear of the luceros. There is no written mandatory visitation. As a matter of fact, she suggested that it might be wise to submit written requests in the future, to prevent the ongoing "miscommunication" problems we have had. Have to wonder what my atty said to the GIL. I asked her to remind her of the conversations we had re my dads health, & how we had to get out of there, the stress was going to kill him. Well, his nephrologist went thru all his med records and said it looked like the kidney failure started around last Christmas. I asked that this be settled before he died, and we didnt have much time. I also asked that if the bitch & the devil were going to be allowed to drag this on forever then they should be paying for it- we were done, and they are not taking any more $ out of R's estate. Well, lo & behold- we had a final draft, and they had a deadline to respond. I will try to "turn the page", and go on, but I still am soooooooo angry I want to sue them all. And while I was gone, I got a letter from SS- I have less than 30 days to get info in for the appeal. I just dont know where to start. I missed my appt with the rheumy in the Spring, and never made the usual for Fall- looks like I havent been taking care of myself - gets you na da. Gotta get off this thing, and make some attempt at getting caught up around here. Hope you are all hanging in there as best as you can. Guest guest
Hi , Sounds like you are having a WingDing of a time ... Don't forget to take care of Y O U !!! Sounds like a very beautiful place you are at... aren't there any neighbors around that can take care of the livestock??? Sounds to me like you need those slippers too ) Hope these come through for you!!! (((((((Many Hugs))))))) Helen Hi guys! How is everyone?Jessi, so glad to hear you are all ok. Were "the kids" traumatized? They probably knew you would keep them safe.I'm in Monument, Colorado, at my brothers. It is very pretty here, lots of mountains and big pines. Pikes peak is very close. We went into Colorado Springs today, to buy a car he could get into (and maybe drive soon, with an automatic) and returned the rental. He has a big monster truck he wont even be able to get into any time soon. The traffic scares me to death! And tomorrow he wants me to drive him to Denver- aaaakkk! To buy a long handled grabby tool. And to take the recyclables. He's obcessed! There were newspapers everywhere, he even saves the empty toilet paper rolls, and I had to make a path for the wheelchair, and the hospital bed- and try to bring everything he needs downstairs, and get him organized.(around a saddle mind you) Oh, and the washer & dryer... upstairs! I am exhausted. We have gone out to the stables every day to check on his horse, and he goes in there on crutches- not supposed to put any weight on his rt leg yet- and that really scares me. Tonight he was trying to tell me I could drive his truck & pull (a show horse) in the horse trailer... "no problem".... He wants to move him to a nicer stable waaaay out there, cause supposedly he wont be able to check on him as much now. Well thats the 1st place we went when I got him out of the hospital. I'm too tired to even bitch anymore, so best get to bed. Steve gets up at 4 (why change the routine, he says, and the dogs expect to be fed then- 2 huge German Shepards)Hope everyone gets a good nights sleep! Guest guest
hey !!!! Don't forget to take care of yourself ya know!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the monsters did just fine in the storm! Since i don't get nervous during storms and neither does Nana, the animals don't either. The only thing they were upset about was being locked up *all* day that day. The goats wanted freash grass not hay and they wanted to be out in the yard not locked up in their pens plus goats *hate* water so they were not happy about the rain! But really other then being a little grumpy about that all 26 critters did fine in the storm!!! you take care of yourself ok!!!! Jessi Hi from Hi guys! How is everyone? Guest guest
Hi , Found the slippers on line and shrunk the pic down for ya You Said you needed them Are you still taking care of your brother??? Or are you back home now... There is No Way I could drive in a big city like that... I have enough trouble in our little one I'm doing all right... Can't shake this cough and headache, but time will ((( Calgon Hugs ))) Helen Aw, Helen you're so sweet! Wherever did you find the ruby slippers?? I'm ready! I drove to Denver today Hope I never have to do that again as long as I live. The big Broncos game was just getting out of that huge new stadium as we were coming home- in the middle of it. OMG! Then, of course, since we survived it,(and I didnt wreck his new car) we had to go to the stables. Brought home a saddle rack, to put at the foot of his hospital bed to use as a valet. He says he wont be needing a housekeeper, he can just hook up his climbing gear and repel upstairs...or, Willie(the really big dog) has his own pack, he can carry the laundry to the laundromat. He is walking around the block now, on crutches, in a back brace, and trying to beat his time every day. I must hurt worse than he does.... I just need to set up the fireplace, ready to light, in case he loses power. and iron some shirts, and get some more meals in the freezer. Someone is checking on him every day from work, they made a schedule. What a nice bunch of people! (at Synthes) How are you doing???? Please take care. Love, Helenangelbear1129@... Guest guest
Is your PV a decent distance awy from a wall, say ten " , that would cause the fan to break down, nothing must be too near it.The back of the PC must never touch a wall. Also accumulated dust that it may pick up will cause overheating/ Anne
Guest guest
Hi Helen! So nice to hear from you! How are you doing? All we've gotten out of this storm is more rain. It is really just too strange. The goose is happy! Hope you get your puter fixed. I sure missed mine! When I realized the condition of the floor I made my husband put a mask on, but when the boy started helping they got too macho. Nobody listens to me. I'm just a nag. All I could do was try to get it in garbage bags and out of the house asap. And I borrowed a shop vac real quick. But the dust & yuck surely went all over the house anyway. I have a hepa filter on my vacuum, but I dont last very long vacuuming. My arms just will not do repetitive movements for very long. They are still so sore. The whole kitchen thing has become a real pain, in every way. Once upon a time I drove a school bus, for Head Start, and I picked up the kids all the time, and I was "buffed", skinny but strong. Oh, I would love to have some arm muscles again! I was reading some new research on the net, and I've got to find my way back.... I think I was on a fibro site- on my other email that dh deleted (another bitch). Anyway, they say they have seen some real improvement with ?bio something, not biotin, it was a carb, or it broke down to a carb... now I cant remember anything, but I will find it. Maybe it was a fatty acid, that broke down to carb. It made perfect sense when I read it.... and then I was rudely interrupted, as usual. I'm going to get back into reading the techno-babble this year, and try some new things. This being miserable all the time is not cuttin it. I gave up on disability. I guess its hopeless. My lawyer wanted me to file a new claim, to get rid of the first rheumy's report, but I figured it would still haunt me. She said I could still have another appeal, but I never heard from her again... I blew it in too many ways, and since the judge is not a medically trained person, he would never understand. My dr here that was so much help moved to Alaska... so now I'm dr shopping again... so back to square 1, with someone that doesnt know me. Not looking forward to it. (so I'll just put it off!) Hopeyou are taking good care of yourself, and getting some rest???? Stay warm & safe! Love, angelbear1129@... wrote: Hi , Long time no hear!!! Sorry your hurting so bad, but yea, the weather is taking its toll on all of us this year... The weather has been so strange all around the world... I hope you were wearing a mask of some type when the floor was being ripped out!!! You KNOW that!!! Have you heard anymore about your disability??? Sorry your computer has been down... Mine still is, they were Suppose to come tonight to fix it, but he was way behind so he's Suppose to be here at 8am... So i'd better lay down for a while, its 3:10am here... Post when ya can... ((( Love and Many Hugs )))Helen Wanted to say hi to everyone, and welcome to all you new guys! Hope I can catch up with all of you soon. And then I see Helen has been sending us goodies to read. I will have to try tomorrow, need to get off here & fix some dinner. Oh, I have worried about you all, watching the news & weather! Thank you so much for doing the roll calls! The weather is just wild this year isnt it? Here in SW Colorado we usually get our share of snow, but nothing like what I have been seeing on the news. And here, it rained and rained, I mean poured, for days, after our last snow. It was unbelievable. We have been in a drought for so long, Im not complaining.... but it sure makes me sore. We are about to get hit again, its rolling in, almost dark already. I try not to leave the house until I have to! Please stay warm & safe wherever you are! Guest guest
, I am so sorry to hear that you are going through so much. Let's hope and pray that the surgery will work wonders for you. It sounds as if your new doctor is concerned about you and giving your illness proper attention. Take care of yourself and my prayers are with you. I hope that you can get all taken care of quickly, and so glad to hear that you have a new docter. I hope this one takes much better care of you. Guest guest
Oh ! I will say a prayer for your surgery. What a frightening thing, but you have been saying for the past few months how bad you have felt. So happy, though that they have gotten to the bottom of things! Guest guest
Hi !!! Have Missed ya!!! Yea its hard when so many things go out at the same time... I use our grill a lot even in the winter ) I love it when we have a foot of snow on the ground and I'm out grilling (or hubby) It helps to get through the long winter to me... I thinks our ref. is on its last leg, I hope it doesn't quit too soon... Just had the dryer and washer fixed, but Thankfully they were still under an agreement which is over this month, so they are now 5 years old... Glad the puppy is doing better... That is a lot of work, but you will be rewarded for your caring ) Hello everyone! How are you?? (I am trying to catch up & find out) I have missed you. Looks like there are a lot of new people, hello to all. I have been able to get on occasionally, but can only read for 5-10 min- never long enough to really catch up, or write. No, I havent got the puter fixed yet..... There is always something else that needs to be taken care of first. You know how that is. I have been busy taking care of a puppy with distemper. And boy I mean busy. He went back with the boys after the holidays. The house is so quiet now. My poor old dog Hooch is just worn out, couldnt have done it without him. That was really hard, and expensive. Not sure I'd do it again. He was the only one to survive out of his litter. We are so much alike, in physical symptoms. He got sore joints & muscle spasms if he did too much, couldnt handle the cold, and one infection after another. I'm fighting another one in my leg, just from bumping a cardboard box this time. I finally got a car, an old Lincoln- nice ride! I feel guilty for driving a gas guzzler, but I really needed an automatic, and I only drive a few blocks anyway around here. It feels great just not to be stranded. Next project- new stove. I am thankful it made it thru the holidays. And I am very glad I didnt throw away the old electric skillet, cause thats what is making dinner for a few weeks. I can put a pot on the woodstove too, so we'll be fine. Well I'm going to go read some more, while its running. Looking forward to meeting all you new guys. Take care. Guest guest
Glad to hear that you are okay. I was beginning to worry 'cause I had the wrong date in mind originally. I'm sure that you've got numeous E-mails to catch up on. But you'd better take it easy for awhile. Did you get the brace for your knee? If so, is it helping? bsmyers1@... wrote: Hi everyone I hope all of you are doing well and had a good day. I had my surgery on Monday and was in for 3 hrs. They weren't able to do what need done but they did the best they could. I got home on Thursday and this is the first time I have felt up to using the computer. I will try to get on here more often and catch up. On Friday I go to get the staples removed from my stomach so hopefully soon will be up to full speed. They say 6 weeks but they are only doctors.lol Will write again soon,
