Hi All,

My blood tests done today (June 5, 2003) seemed overall mixed from those

exactly a week earlier. Being out of the health care system seems to have

given me more of the ON part of CRON last week and this week the results

were varied. There were some positive and negative aspects to them.

For my electrolytes:

Sodium was as usual, 126 versus 3.0 to 7.0 mM reference range.

Chloride was 90 versus 95-110.

Blood urea nitrogen and creatinine were okay.

Liver proteins were fine last week and now lactate dehydrogenase was 187

versus 90-180 U/L

Bilirubin was 21 versus 1-20.

Total cholesterol was higher than last week 3.66 to now 3.93 versus 4-5.2

Triglycerides remained low like last week at 0.35 to now 0.34 versus

0.4-1.9.

LDL was lower going from 2.36 to last week 2.27 and now higher at 2.39

versus 1.68-3.4.

HDL was last week 1.24 and now 1.39 versus 0.9-2.0.

So, my total cholesterol/HDL ratio improved from week to week from 3.24 to

2.95 to now 2.82 versus 0-4.0.

My blood glucose level after about 10 hour fast was last week 3.8 and this

week 3.4 versus 3.5-6.0 mM. It had never been below 4.1 before my low

glucose crisis.

For my cell blood counts:

Most things remained very low as usual for me and my hemoglobin remained the

highest in many long years.

Not much else had changed except my monocytes were halved to 0.1 versus

0.11-1.0 and my neutrophils remained at the all-time low obtained only once

before recently of 0.6 versus 2.0-7.5 10^9/l.

I have been advised by my doctor to go on long-term disability due to the

low neutrophils and immune cells generally and working in a hospital

building.

Cheers, Al.
