Guest guest
news: 8:58AM SARS concerns take new form in Hong Kong : An article in the National Post reports the SARS virus is mutating causing new forms to develop in Southeast Asia. Doctors of the Chinese University of Hong Kong are reportedly seeing two types of SARS in the territory's hospitals. Observations that have been made by one of a team of mircrobiologists suggest the fast rate of mutation could make the possibility of a cure ineffective. In addition, the mutations also suggest SARS patients might not be immune to re-infection. A Canadian doctor also suggests any variability in the virus could make detection increasingly complicated.
