Guest guest
I found this paragraph to be of interest: " It's good to be thin, but whether you would see a dramatic result in the rate of aging is a big question mark, " says Arthur Schwartz, Ph.D., a professor of molecular biology at Temple University in Philadelphia. " The reason this may occur in mice and rats is that they age much more quickly than humans and reproduce early in life. These short-lived animals have different survival mechanisms that allow them to overcome periods of food deprivation. Whether this would work in humans is questionable. " Though there is no mention of the Okinawans or the primate studies being conducted. on 5/5/2003 5:28 PM, Alan Pater at apater@... wrote: > Hi All, This is a CRON article in NY Daily News: > > http://www.nydailynews.com/city_life/health/story/79135p-72807c.html > > Cheers, Al.
