Guest guest
Hello, Ria and all! I am a physically-active vegan CRONie. I do yoga, walk, cycle, and weight train. So far, I have had no problem maintaining nutrition while reducing calories. I have been doing this for over a year. While I have lost 80 lbs. during this time, my focus has been on nutrition first. I do not care to become sick, tired, or run down - my health and well-being have been excellent. If I sense the onset of something, I respond with rest and add back some calories if needed. So far, I have remained healthy while family and co-workers have dealt with colds, flus, etc. In short, I continue to have the energy to work out and to consume enough protein to maintain the muscle mass I desire. Guest guest
Ria asked, "Do you weight-lifting veterans of CRON feel that it would be possible to do a CRON lacto-ovo vegetarian diet and still have a) the energy to work out; and enough high-quality protein to build and maintain lean mass?" You won't have any problems Ria. This website might be helpful to you, even though you're not a bodybuilder. http://www.vegetarianbodybuilder.com/ Suz
