Guest guest
> > One other thing, next time I go into a hosp for a test requiring an iv, I'll eat some salt to inflate the veins so they won't push that dam needle thru the bones. One of the signs of aging I've been noticing which bothers me greatly is inflated veins. The veins in my hands and feet, in particualr, swell up easily, and all around my body many seem closer to the surface. They are more visible, in many cases unsightly, and, more disturbing, undoubtedly a sign that I am aging internally. I'm not talking about vericose veins or anything like that. I think you know what I mean. I have wanted to find out what I need to do to perhaps increase the elasticity of my blood vessels so they caninflate when needed, but then return to a regular, more youthful size. I don't have high blood pressure (even though it does run in my family, and mine has been creeping upwards, it still isn't high). I'm not currently eating a lot of salt. Do you think that if I maintain a decreased salt diet it will help? What types of search terms would you use to gather information? Cardiovascular health/aging addresses other topics.
