calcium availability in oxalate greens

The idea is to release the Calcium making IT available. Ca is harder to get than vitamins, especially in a vegan diet. BUT, do we know that soda releases the Ca? I think it tastes diff. What I actually do is eat more greens rather than the "oxalate" greens.

I'd beware of using sodium bicarbonate in cooking. It will keep the greensreally green, but it does inhibit the absorption of some vitamins andminerals. I'm sorry, but I can't remember which ones from the top of myhead and my reference books are not handy.Ruth
