The good bacteria lactobacilli produce odorless carbon dioxide gas, bifidobacteria produce no gas, and many neutral and pathogenic organisms produce methane and/or hydrogen " This makes sense since I have been gassy lately sometimes but it doesn't smell as bad as when I eat foods I am not supposed to.
