Guest guest
Very Inspired today, so I write it down. My thoughts on the paper. Let's begin with an funny question: What came first? The egg or the chicken? The egg did. This was the answer of Cinthia Kenyion. The chicken is only another way to make new eggs. The tree is only a way to make new seeds, so the seed came first. Only the genes are immortal. If genes are immortal, why don't we? The realizing of such a thing makes me wonder. Why age? Why death? Why caloric restriction? The mechanisms of caloric restriction are well know from the cientists. Three mechanisms: Torpor, dormancy and hibernation. **Torpor: This condition is an inductive condition caused by CNS. Somebody feel decreased energy, because the brain somehow senses that energy is finihing and goes to sleep in order to save energy. Note that it is a believed hipothesis, that the goal of the sleep is to save and conserve energy. (I can justify it by papers). **Dormancy: This condition exists in seeds. Seeds are in dormant state. Seeds are alive, but in suspended life. Seeds are dehidrated and have a zero metabolic rate. A radical state. Similar to that of some primates that can be put in such a suspended state (see imortalist manifesto of Ettinger). This state is not a desirable one, at least for somebody that wishes to live. Who will like to be dehidrated? And have the life suspended? (See psicological note at the end) Is BTW like crionics. Gene silence by the chromatin, IMO falls into this category. **Hibernation: A condition found in several mammals. The metabolic rate and temperature decreases, and by the ROL theory, this is a way to increase lifespan. Living in a lower speed = Live longer because of the temperature. Aging is our primary enemy. The basic truth. And as the necessary condition for having low oxidation in something that is emplumed is to eliminate fat and dehidrat. I supose that the same is needed to the body that needs to have the aging retarded. Dehidratation and low fat. coffee does some of these things. That's why I drink it. I supose also that it is DNA protective. Then, I've got my termomether and measured my temp: 35.9 C. < 36.0 and my heart rate: 58 bpm < 60 bpm. The idea of being dehidrated and becaming an stuffed bird than came into my mind. I became then depressed thinking about the inconvenience of being immortal and make some coffee for myself. Than the stimulation of caffeine in my brain made me fell happy, awake and inspired again. Mathematicians are machines to transform coffee into theorems. Math ideas came into my mind. The first one was that of periodicity. Getting out of dauer state in nematodes is a way to reverse aging. Aging a little, reversing a little, aging a little reversing a little. Sounds like a periodic orbit of an automaton. You mantain yourself stationated at that chronological age. Can a medicine putted inside each cell of the body do this or at least induce this reversion? I supose so by the new dicoveries of the science. Reinitializantion by assexual reproduction is another way to go. Warren and people of science magazine knows it. Reinitialization will be achievable in the next years to come, and will give us a new fascinating youthful life. But will cost a lot. So other cheapeast ways are needed. The aging-reversal-stationating medicines I mentioned (they exist at least in my sick mind hahaha ...)could be this way. The brain would behave in this situation similar to an CPU of an computer IMO. CPUs do not get oxidased and live very very long (forever if some transistor do not fail, but neurons have much more adaptative behavior than broken transistors...). I heard news today about and old man (friend of mine). He is very debilitaded and he's no able to work anymore. He is 88 years old. I'm 28. But if nothing is done in a future I'll be like him, poor guy. That makes me want to cry, because when I was a child I loose another friend of mine because of old age. He died at age of 98. And I was 18 at that time. Everybody found it " natural for his age " . But not me. I refused to accept such concept of natural. We will be able to have such bodies we have by now for ever and ever. But until this date, we need to *accept* that we need to age to live longer. The best way to die young is to starve to death, at present ... These new ideas of mine I'll be shared by the scientific comunity in the newer future, I hope. No aging, no death, no suffering. Criticisms are welcome. I'll not be an tractor. Cheers. -- Gandhi. __________________________________________________________________________ Seleção de Softwares UOL. 10 softwares escolhidos pelo UOL para você e sua família. http://www.uol.com.br/selecao
