She has existed for many years with a permanent feeding tube.... Why would this be? She didn't have anything surgically removed, did she? And when she had the feeding tube placed, obviously she was still getting " some " food by the usual route, right? or she wouldn't be around at all. Guest guest
Hello CR ALL: Suz has me worried now about my own dietary regimen. I don't know whether to say " thank you " , or " woe is me " . I don't want a feeding tube in me. Not do I want a bullet shot into my personal CR program. But if I have to choose between the best of two evils, then the choice is obvious: Shoot the CR program, not me. Warnings about permanent loss of appetite, with subsequent inability to consume any solid or liquid food, not even swallow liquid nourishment at all, none whatsoever -- those are awfully SEVERE warnings, to make me sit up and take notice fast. Like Hue below, the particulars of this scary story are of great concern to me. Thank you Suz, for helping bring this forth. -- Warren > -----Original Message----- > From: Hue [mailto:kargo_cult@...] > Sent: Sunday, May 11, 2003 1:47 PM > > Subject: Re: [ ] Respect for Hunger ----- Original Message ----- From: " Suzanne Cart " <massuz@...> Subject: [ ] Respect for Hunger >> can no longer eat. Guest guest
Hi Hue, She says she has "physically" lost the ability to eat, and led me to believe this is an unusual but not unheard of consequence of severe anorexia. I didn't pry into the details, but gathered she would now like to eat if she could. ----- Original Message ----- From: Hue Sent: Sunday, May 11, 2003 1:47 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Respect for Hunger ----- Original Message ----- From: "Suzanne Cart" <massuz@...>Subject: [ ] Respect for Hunger>> can no longer eat. Guest guest
Warren and Hue, I'll attempt to find out more of the particulars when I'm able to talk to 's sister. Is this really a psychological problem, or has her digestive system truly shut down as she claims? I also don't know if bulimia was involved and if so, if it contributed to this outcome.
