Guest guest
Hi guys, In the spirit of practicality I've been trying to come up with some MegaMeal CRON recipes that would save me time during the school year. Since I love soup and it's very filling I think it could make the ideal 'meal'. Only problem is, I have never done any cooking and I don't know where to start. I'd be most appreciative of any basic soup recipes that I could then build on. My mom makes soup that usually goes like this: Half water Bouillon salt/spices Tomatoes Parsnips Onions Celery 1-2 potatoes Carrots Parsley Thyme A bit of garlic She makes this in a huge pot and lasts our family (of 4) an entire week. I've been thinking of the following additions: 1.) Green peas are a great source of fiber 2.) Navy beans- a good source of fiber and protein 3.) Tofu??? Would more nutrient dense vegetables such as romaine lettuce and spinach be possible additions? What kind of spices should I use? Any other suggestions/comments? Cheers guys, -
