Any comments? not really. it's hard to take this kind of journalism seriously, especially quotes from Harvard's Willett. I mean, think about his track record of misleading the public. i wouldn't draw any conclusions from this vapid article that just repeats common wisdom and common biases. i would completely ignore this kind of journalism and only read the original research, which is probably not worth reading. i mean, i don't need anymore confirmation that eating veggies is good for me, or that a medium fat intake is good for me, or that they've found statistically insignificant benefits to a smaller animal fat intake. this is platitudinous white noise. > Also moderation/variety of healthy foods is cited as the best bet for good > health. Any comments from the more stringent advocates? well, now that's an earth-shattering idea: eat a variety of nutrient-dense foods, be physically active, avoid bad habits, etc. it's amazing that i could've stumbled into this approach before being enlightened be these amazing " diet/health findings " by such prestigous and unbiased researchers. mike parker
