Guest guest
here is an ALS site with some feedback posted on this subject. Two of the posts suggest caution. Steve http://www.rideforlife.com/MT/archives/cover_story/000483.html#483 --------------------------------------------------- I have contacted one of the lead neuropathologists at Mass General Hospital with regard to this. The quote from MGH is bogus. Genentec has been very accomodating to the researchers-MGH has written the protocol for the trial. Dr. Schwartz is trying to patent this. There is no science behind this anecdotal " evidence " . My Dr. at MGH is not convinced that the sympton reversal was as claimed. Genentec is working with MGH but not with the good doctor. Take it for what its worth. Caveat Emptor, guys. ----------------------------------------------------------------- According to Dr Schwartz,s web site, the doctor claims to have a patent for something he calls neuropoietin - a mixture of thrombopoetin and thyroid hormone- However, an on-line search of the US Patent Office shows no patents granted for either neuropoietin nor are there any patents issued to Dr R Schwartz. Something is very fishy here, and as a long-suffering ALS patient, I do NOT like being played with in this way. -----------------------------------------------------------------
