Guest guest
Marg: I went to the site. It's a Dr Mercola site. He's not accepted in the scientific mainstream and just looking over the site, it doesn't have much credibility . Now if you come up with any studies on Pubmed or NIH or other mainstream institutions or scientists, I certainly will sit up and take notice. on 10/28/2003 5:49 PM, margarinva at onslowbb@... wrote: > http://www.holisticmed.com/splenda/
Guest guest
Hello CR All: What Francesca says is correct. Public interest scientist groups and consumer advisory panels conclusively regard the Sucralose product as having the highest quality safety testing ever performed for any non-caloric sweetener. The scientist consumer advocacy group CSPI (Center for Science in the Public Interest) gives Sucralose a " GREEN " safety rating. It is the only such product that earns a GREEN... All other non-caloric sweeteners are rated yellow (questionable) or red (safety issues). There are no safety concerns about Sucralose (Splenda). Safety issues: None. -- Warren ============================ ======================= -----Original Message----- From: Francesca Skelton [mailto:fskelton@...] Sent: Tuesday, October 28, 2003 3:59 PM Subject: Re: [ ] about Sucralose Marg: I went to the site. Guest guest
Mercola's biggest complaint is that there isn't sufficient research & long term testing. He really doesn't have any evidence of harm; he speculates, supposes & tries to make his point by redirecting reader to a discussion about aspartame. The substance of this page is as weak as wet tissue. What's worse, the presentation never admits that these are reasonings, rather than evidence of harm. I dislike the fire & brimstone tone ... and yet it was only this tone that got him publicity for this page. Mercola didn't get the publicity based on evidence. margarinva wrote: > http://www.holisticmed.com/splenda/
