Guest guest
[Off Topic] Rectangular " Cut and Paste " in MS Word --------------------------------------------------- Have you ever wanted to copy or cut out a rectangular region of text in MS Word? Note: This works in MS Word. Nowhere else. Use an equally spaced font (like " courier new " ), to do clean rectangular cuts. 1) Place the window cursor at the corner of the rectangle where you want to start the rectangular text cut. 2) Simultaneously depress key-combo: CTRL-SHFT-F8 You only need depress -- then let up. 3) Use the keyboard arrow-keys to move the cursor to the opposite end of the rectangle. Notice how a rectangular region of text is highlighted. 4) Press CTRL-C to copy, CTRL-X to cut, (or use the edit menu to perform these operations). 5) You now have a rectangular block of text in your paste buffer, and can paste it anywhere you wish. Note: In MS Word, it is also possible to hold down the Alt-key, and drag the mouse while the Alt-key is depressed to highlight a rectangular block. -- Warren
