Guest guest
I can't provide and "hard" scientific evidence...so take my thoughts on that basis but the great yogi masters have something to say about this: We will live as long as we are supposed to live. The yogi masters were CR practicers in the fact that they never overate and they ate healthy foods. They did die, however, but they were free of disease and pain. They simply died when their time is up. So I think the same will happy to us. Disease does not have to be the cause of death...simply when you time to go comes, that can be the cause. I only want to live as long as I am supposed to live...but I want my years to be as vital and healthy as they can be. a
Guest guest
Hi a: " I only want to live as long as I am supposed to live... " OK. But how do you define how long that is? Suppose a treatment were devised (perhaps based on telomerase, for example) that reduced your biological age permanently to 25 years. How then would you define 'how long you are supposed to live'? If I got such a treatment I would welcome it with open arms and, incidentally, give up some hazardous sporting activities I have pursued in the past. The reason I would give them up is because in the unlikely worst case the risk of the activity would previously have been only 30 or 40 years of life. If the risk might be 200 years of life, I would not risk it.
