What do you folks eat for breakfast? I know eggs are allowed,

poached. I can't do poached without toast. I just ate a bowl of

steamed veg. It was good, but now what to eat for lunch. I needs

some ideas from some of you guys as to what youo eat at most meals. I

can't have any fish because of the mercury.

Thanks

Hey Deb,

If you go to the following files in the Files section, you will find a

lot of good ideas on foods you can eat.

- " Candida Diet - Foods to Eat " : Scroll down to that title and click on

it. You have 3 files in there, two of which are menu ideas and

suggestions from members.

- " Recipes for the Candida Diet " : Scroll down to that title and click

on it. Tons of recipes to choose from.

- Re: not eating fish because of mercury: Wild salmon is the one fish

my environmental M.D. says is ok... unless you have specific reasons to

avoid fish altogether (bec. of mercury).

I personally don't restrict my breakfast menu to " breakfast foods " . For

e.g.: I can have ground lamb patties with vegetables and tons of melted

ghee on all of it, or some other meat or wild salmon & veggies with

good fats(coconut oil, olive oil, etc.).

Hope this helps.

I can't do a lot of those recipes because of the night shade plants causing

increased inflammation.

==>Increased inflammation is a good thing because it is the body's way

to heal an area, so you do not want to avoid it. Inflammation

immobilizes an area in order to assist with the healing process, and it

also brings more blood to an area for increased nourishment during

healing. Good unadulterated foods do cause important healing

reactions. Healing reactions are not allergic reactions - See the

Folder on Allergies for more complete information.

I don't know I had a postivie AMA several months ago, but they can't find

anything else wrong. They first though it was Lupus or ALS, but the lab test

came back normal.

Just curious, Deb, do you have an auto-immune condition? I have

fibromylgia and so, I too, can't have any of the nightshade plants as

they cause a flare which can put me down for a couple of days. I've

slowly learned to adapt without these plants. What I have for

breakfast is a " greens " drink and then a little later a whey protein

drink (the protein is sweetened with stevia). The protein is very

necessary for the fibro.

==>I caution you about having " green drinks " , depending upon the kind

they contain a lot of iodine which can cause problems for the

thyroid - too much iodine is just as damaging to the thyroid as too

little. You would get plenty of iodine from having the recommended

amount of ocean sea salt and butter.

==>Also the protein from eggs and meats is more easily useable by the

body than whey protein drinks, particularly Bee's Raw Egg Drink, and

also whey is from dairy which candida sufferers do not do well on

(except butter), and whey protein is processed which would always

contain less nutrients than real foods, plus it can contain additives

or be highly heated which also denatures the proteins.

==>As written in my main article under Essential Supplements candida

sufferers are advised not to take supplements other than those listed

for good reason. Not only do some supplements provide nutrients

easily obtained in real foods, but also taking too many different

kinds overwhelms and confuses the body and may intefere with the

healing process and your progress on the program.
