Guest guest
Forgot to respond to previous post about the tongue taking care of itself. Well, yes and no. In most normal mouths it pretty much takes care of itself however it is similar to a carpet in its topography and bacterial populations would be further reduced by cleaning it properly. Yes-probably not necessary in normal (devoid of perio) mouths. No-advisable to further clean in perio or xerostomic mouths. There is corroboration in the dental literature for those dentists and spouses of dentists that wish to pursue academics. Dr. Tom Glass and Dr.S.N. Bhaskar, well published practitioners advocate brushing the little critter. That said, I only clean mine if it is other than its usual pink, perky self.
