Guest guest
Members may want to look up Dr. Mark Mattson's writings. He is chief of the lab of neurosciences at the National Institue on Aging in Baltimore. He has been observing CR personally for 20 years and is researching why low-calorie diets prolong life. His studies with animals suggest that the mild stress that CR, and also mild excercise, create a body response that include more nerve growth factor in the brain, lower blood sugar, a sort of "anti-diabetic effect." An article appeared in a recent NYTimes. Peg
