Guest guest
Dear Elaine, I would say that your son is trying to talk. If he is babbling then yes he is making an effort. My son when 18 months and in Early Intervention was not babbling at all just alot of pointing and grunting to get what he wanted. Early Intervention just told me at the time that he is not ready to speak and he will in time. At the time I totally disagreed with them because he wanted to speak but could not, after an outside evaluation by 2 slp's one at boston children's hospital and one at a center where you see a developmental pediatrican and slp they all agreed it was oral apraxia. I have no doubt that you could get answers from someone. SLP's are the best but also developmental pedaitricians and I know alot of parents on this list get diagnosis from pediatric neurologist. Have you ever taken him to a evaluation outside of your slp? that would be my suggestion. It does not mean that he has apraxia but with your son at almost 4 it would be wise for you to maybe get a second opinion. Is your son making progress? how long has he been receiving speech therapy? While it does help to have a diagnosis to see what you are dealing with and what type of therapy he may need and how often, it is not the end all of your son. We had a diagnosis of Apraxia when my son was 28 months and yes we changed alot of how we deal with him, but he is making great progress with or without a diagnosis. Hope this helps, Eileen --- vistacol <elaineandanthony@...> wrote: > Hi, > > I have a son of almost 4. Guest guest
Hi All, My name is Donna and I am new to this list. I have MS and put myself on a program to lose weight and feel better about one and a half years ago. I lost 56 pounds and feel much better and have kept it off mostly. About 6 pounds have sneaked back on and so I am looking for support to get those 6 off and perhaps another few to go with them. I am 5' 6" and now weigh 155, I was down to 149, I would like to maintain at about 144. I saw an artile on here about pure sucralose from a Warren and I am very interested in purchasing 100 Kg. for a group of us who use it for everything. If Warren could please contact me, it would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Donna Pratt
Guest guest
Donna, Sucralose is available in all supermarkets (in the US anyway) trading as Splenda. Good luck to you. Peg
Guest guest
Donna: welcome to the group. Congrats on your achievement. We have in our files (under the recipes section) a complete list of where to get all CRONIE type foods, including sucralose. Warren's info is there too. His e-mail address is: Warren.@.... on 9/9/2003 9:44 AM, Donna E. Pratt at prattd@... wrote: > Hi All, > > My name is Donna and I am new to this list.
