Flax and omega 3?

What are the thoughts on flax here? It appears as though flax (excess

n-3 in general) is carcinogenic and highly susceptible to oxidation.

As well, only about 15% of its n-3 content actually gets converted to

EPA/DHA. Fish is definitely a better source of n-3 and if more is not

any better... maybe extra flax is just increasing caloric intake and

risks of cancer?

Thoughts?
