Hello CR ALL:

I received this email letter of gratitude recently. It was

complimentary of the CR Support Group and Francesca too.

It came from an anonymous reader who left the CR Society.

It explains why. I replied to the letter (below).

Hello from Warren here,

You have a good point!

You are so friendly and so frankly truthful, that it makes me almost

want to weep. That is one reason why I deeply admire you and others --

who take the trouble and courage to speak up and give honest feedback.

It really is true friendship to point out where improvement is needed.

Yes, the Support List is peaceful. It has many nice features, esp

in its focus on practical living. That is one reason why many

prefer to participate there. They get good value from it.

I feel the same way myself. It is simple and it is focused on CR.

The messages are few, they are short, and they are easy to read.

And especially they come from courteous and respectful common folks.

You know that Dr. Walford himself reads the Support List.

It is the place where he posts also. There must be a reason why he

chose the Support List as his community forum of choice, where he

reads and where he posts his messages.

Your message above makes good valid points. There are many people

who agree with your sentiments. Some of them have become upset

enough that they have joined the Support Group. Or just quit CR.

This is a very unfortunate situation. I believe the problem can

be solved, that it must be solved, and that it will be solved,

esp if people care enough.

The question for the CR Society is: When is it going to happen?

Because your message above is very good, it needs attention from

a few leaders who can make improvements like what you suggest.

They should be able to see clearly some of the problems that remain

unsolved, like ...

-- the overwhelming number of posts,

-- how upsetting nature of some posts ...

-- the bickering in some posts,

-- the meaningless posts,

-- the high complexity of posts,

-- the argumentative posts,

-- the off-topic posts,

-- the long and rambling posts,

-- the confusion created,

-- the dilution of value, ...

Your comments will not go unnoticed. When some of these deficiencies

you mention get pointed out, let's see what some of the leaders have

to say.

I thank you again for being a true friend. And a friend to those who

are looking for CR help and truth, rather than CR confusion.

You are great to speak up. I thank you.

-- Warren

Please do come forward either on or off list if anyone has suggestions for

improvement of the Support List. We have no control over or affiliation

with, any other lists (such as mentioned by Warren) but always welcome

suggestions for improvement here. We don't run any non-profit or for profit

and that's the way we like it. I and the other moderators put in our time

strictly as a labor of love. We always welcome CONSTRUCTIVE suggestions for

improvement.
